The Municipal Chief
Executive (MCE) for Ho Municipal Assembly, Hon. Prosper PI-Bansah, has
organized a day general cleanup exercise in the Ho central Market as part of
measures to keep the Municipality clean.
According to him, the exercise formed part of
the directive to close down the Ho market to help prevent the spread of the
novel Covid-19 in the Ho municipality.
He observed that, the Ho
market is one of the overcrowded centers under his jurisdiction that the
transmission of the virus can take place at the faster rate hence the need to
close down the market during the major market days to avert any misfortune.
“because we are closing
the market, we’ve taken advantage not to close alone but do a general cleaning
in the market” He stated
He explained that, his
office has also set the third Thursday in every month for the same cleanup exercise
in the entire municipality.
He reiterated the
Assembly’s preparedness to protect its citizen from being affected with the
virus as he enumerated several measures already put in place within and outside
the Assembly to ensure the safety of residents in the Ho municipality.
He further called on the
citizens to attach much importance to the safety precautionary measures adding
that, this is the safer way to stay healthy
